It was a day like any other day; birds chirping, trees swaying gently in the wind, and bees buzzing their joyful tune as they skip from flower to flower. Spring had finally come. And just in the nick of time too. The winter was a harsh one this year and Dakota was beginning to run low on her basic food needs. Blizzard after blizzard that hit her small hometown created an isolation that she had never experienced before. Thankfully, she had stored plenty of wood for the season to keep her and her cat Jasper warm and cozy next to the crackling fire. With her only companion able to respond solely with purring or meows she began to wonder and dream about the future. She planned out her wedding to a dashingly handsome stranger who spoke in poetry and musicals. She dreamed of her honeymoon; soaking in the sun and sweet ocean breeze of Tahiti. Treasured moments of sleeping in during rainstorms and spontaneous breakfasts in bed with the one she loves. All of these things, and everything in between, became her occupation during her isolation. Eventually light began to stream in through the window that had been overwhelmed with snow for what seemed like forever. The more the light shown the more hopeful she became at what her future would hold.
